Travel Information for Kuala Lumpur

Arrival Information

The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) are located approximately 55 km from Kuala Lumpur city centre, and the journey takes approximately 40-45 minutes, depending on traffic and the time of day.
 
 
KLIA Express or Express Rail Link (ERL) is the fastest way to travel from the airport to the city (KL Sentral). The journey from KLIA/KLIA2 to KL Sentral takes approximately half an hour, and costs RM55 one way. There is free porter service at platforms and 4G WiFi onboard. Trains depart every 15 minutes during peak hours.

Limousines and budget taxis are also available outside the airport, and use a coupon system.

Getting Around Kuala Lumpur

Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and Light Railway Transit (LRT)
There are various options to explore Kuala Lumpur by train via the Light Railway Transit (LRT), Kuala Lumpur Monorail and Mass Rapid Transit (MRT).
 
Taxis
Taxis are widely available around the city. They operate by meter and can be hired through the hotel concierge or hailed at taxi stands.
 
E-Hailing Services
Grab service is available in Kuala Lumpur via mobile apps available from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
